The Coffee

This coffee is certified by OCIA (Organic Crop Improvement Association). It is also certified by the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center as “Bird Friendly” Shade Grown, along with also being available as Fair Trade by Transfair USA. During the harvest period of March-September the coffee cherries are hand picked, usually by the women in the communities, after the beans reach full maturity with a deep red color.
